The Years of Love *closed*

He and I were in love. Nothing could change it, or so we thought. We dated for two years before the incident. That night it happened I was supposed to meet him at a restuarant for dinner. He had big plans for our future that night. Two years it had been since I asked him out, and 4 since we met. He was planning to propose to me. But he waited at the restaurant for awhile, after some time he expected the call that I would relay to indicate why I was late.

An hour passed and yet I had not called. He calls me, but surprisingly I don't answer. This is when my captors had taken me, and I'm sure I heard the phone ring multiple times with his desperate attempts to locate me. I could not answer to call for help. The first time I didn't pick up he has a sneaking suspicion of what had happened. I never just didn't answer. That's also taking into account that I'm showering or held up at work.

It's been two years since then, and he and I had not seen each other. When he heard that I had been found, he was delighted. Overjoyed, in fact. He thought I would appear weak, bloody, beaten. Anything, even with some mental truama. But what he got was so much worse than he or even I could ever fathom. For what these people had done for those two years to me, even my family could not predict the reaction I had the moment he walked in the room. No one could've thought I was capable of it, especially not to him.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and seen it was my cousin letting me know they had everything. I sent a quick message telling her there was a change of plans, and for them to setup everything tonight.

I looked around the store quietly.

Moments later our waiter returned with our drinks and we gave him our order. "glad it's all over?" I questioned referring to the hospital.

I nodded. "I just prefer my home, no matter where it is." I said.

"well now you can get all the sleep you want and not worry about people coming in and out of your room."

"I didn't really worry much about that. I was just afraid that I'd be labeled mental and never leave," I said.

"well you've proved to them you're not." I said as I held her hand in mind.

"Yeah," I smiled at him.

We sat and talked until the food came and just ate in a comfortable silence.

I ate quietly.

"I have something for you." I said finally breaking the silence.

I looked at him. "What is it?"

"actually its two things. But here is the first one." I said as I pulled out the small box I had that held her key inside. I placed it on the table and slid it over to her.

I opened the box and smiled.

"welcome home babe." I said with a smile. "and this is just something I bought to show you how proud I am of you for pulling through this thing." I said taking out another box. This one more rectangular in shape. I had went and bought her a necklace, one I saw her looking at during one of our trips to the mall.

I opened my box and smiled more. "Thank you," I said.

I smiled as I watched her. I got up and went to help her put it on.

"Thank you," I said as he helped.

I smiled and kissed her cheek then sat back down. They sat for a while until I took her hand in mine. "now that you're officially out of the hospital, I can really treat you to real dates.

I looked at him and smiled. "Great."

Our food finally came and we saT and ate

I ate quietly.

In the middle of us eating I got a message from Daisy saying everything is almost done.

I smiled at Lily.

"would you like dessert?" I asked as I seen she was almost done.
