The Years of Love *closed*

He and I were in love. Nothing could change it, or so we thought. We dated for two years before the incident. That night it happened I was supposed to meet him at a restuarant for dinner. He had big plans for our future that night. Two years it had been since I asked him out, and 4 since we met. He was planning to propose to me. But he waited at the restaurant for awhile, after some time he expected the call that I would relay to indicate why I was late.

An hour passed and yet I had not called. He calls me, but surprisingly I don't answer. This is when my captors had taken me, and I'm sure I heard the phone ring multiple times with his desperate attempts to locate me. I could not answer to call for help. The first time I didn't pick up he has a sneaking suspicion of what had happened. I never just didn't answer. That's also taking into account that I'm showering or held up at work.

It's been two years since then, and he and I had not seen each other. When he heard that I had been found, he was delighted. Overjoyed, in fact. He thought I would appear weak, bloody, beaten. Anything, even with some mental truama. But what he got was so much worse than he or even I could ever fathom. For what these people had done for those two years to me, even my family could not predict the reaction I had the moment he walked in the room. No one could've thought I was capable of it, especially not to him.

The next morning I slept in a little late.

We were getting everything together for Kieva's surprise tomorrow. We went over the check list once more making sure we had everything, before I took Lily to go see her.

I got breakfast from the hospital and sat eating and started watching TV. Oddly, right as he walked in the hospital a news crew showed the hospital I was staying in and was talking about me. I sat still as stone watching the screen as they said I was to be released today.

I carried Lily into her room on my shoulders. "guess who's here!" I said with a big smile as Lily shouted that we were here.

I stared at the screen, then looked at him slowly. "Sorry, I just found out that I'm going home today, and that there is a crew here to film the thing," I said and pointed at the screen.

I looked at the screen as I seen the reporters. "I thought the doctor said next week."

I looked at him. "You don't seem that surprised that I'm getting out today," I said and Lily spoke. "Because you are!! I heard him say today!"

I glared at Lily only to cause her to giggle. "okay so maybe I did know you were getting out today." I said as I sat Lily on the bed. "I was going to tell you later today as a surprise but it looks like I was beat to it."

"Yeah, well everyone apparently needs to know I'm going home for the first time in 2 and a half years. Better be guarded or I'll go pyscho killer on them," I said.

"good point."

"Yeah," I said.

"everything will be fine, I'm sure of it." I said assurimgly.

"Yeah, but if I'm leaving I don't want it to be their cover story," I said with a look at the screen.

"so did you just want to stay here for the night until they go away?" I asked. "either that or sneak out. The doctor had said you were officially released after five today, so that's when they'll be expecting you to leave."

"Let's leave now," I said.

"I'll go talk to your doctor and let him know. We can go out the back I'll bring the car around." I said and left Lily with her as I went to find her doctor. After I spoke with him about what she wanted, he agreed to let her go. He sighned her release papers and gave them to me. Saying he wouldnt tell anyone until tomorrow. While I went to get the car he went and led them down without being seen as they waited for me. I finally pulled up and got Lily strapped in.

I put my bags in the car quickly and got in so no one would see me.

I drove off going the opposite way of the reporters. I rode around for a few minutes until I saw that we were out of town. I then drove until we came to this small diner. "are you hungry?" I asked her.

"Yeah, a little," I said.

"Come on, it should be safe here." I said shutting off the car and climbing out. Hopefully they wouldn't know who she was.

I nod and get out.

When we walked in noone seemed to pay us attention. A few people looked up see who entered but went back to their conversations. We found a table and thankfully was met by a waitress who came shortly after.

I ordered then looked at the menu.

I ordered my drink then took a look at the menu trying to see what I could get Lily.

I smiled as I watched her play.
