Trying Again

First topic message reminder :

They met in school and fell in love at 16. Married at 18. Have two children, an 8yo son Ben and 6yo daughter Kate. To people on the outside they're perfect, on the inside they fight, ignore each other and sleep in separate rooms some nights. They've grown apart and in the middle of a huge fight they both said they wanted a divorce and it was the best thing to do. They make no time for the two of them.. After the second child was born, they drifted. Have rare and boring sex with no effort towards each other at all. They accuse each other of cheating but neither has. He's got a good job, successful with his own company but is known as cold and arrogant. She stayed home to take care of the kids and let herself go from being so unhappy. Fed up with the constant fighting each day while they have their divorce drawn up, she moves into their guest house to stay close to the kids while she finds another place to live.. Then they start to fall in love all over again.

Ben and I walked out and sat up at the table to wait for the food. "the lady at the restaurant was giving dad lovey eyes" he said grinning "she wouldn't stop looking at him." i smirked and raised a brow "oh really? Your dad is pretty handsome. Alot of girls trip over their feet looking at him."

i shook my head. you both are crazy! What would you like to drink?" I said not wanting to go there with them. I sat their food down and looked up at Elle she was beautiful and watching me.

"just water for me" i said as Ben said the same. "you going to sit and eat with us?" i nudged out the chair beside me as I noticed him staring

i shook my head. "Oh yeah." I said and sat down. "Sorry." I said looking up at her still starring at me. I took a drink of my coke and sat it down and started to eat.

I felt awful the entire time we ate. This wasnt meant to be this way. I just hoped Kate was better tomorrow. "there's some board games, we could play some tomorrow?" i suggested glancing at him.

i smiled. "Sure, I think that would be fun!" I looked at Ben. "Yeah and Kate likes games!" He said and I looked back at Elle. "You okay?"

"yeah just tired and getting full" i rubbed my stomach looking at my almost empty plate of food. "you alright?"

i smiled. "I heard our third child's heartbeat! I couldn't be better." I said looking right in her eyes.

"married a perfect man" i grinned and stood up, walking into our room and putting my pyjamas on then climbed into the big bed to wait for him.

once I finished I went to our room. "Hey love!" I said stripping to my boxers and climbing into bed. "I'm really worried about Kate."

"or she doesn't want me back home, they don't understand our reasons. They only see that I left and didn't come home." i laid on my back and rubbed my eyes "is it wrong to suggest, or think that she's got some crush on you."
