I woke up after a 18hr shift and walked into the kitchen. The fridge of course was empty. I yawned and grabbed my phone calling for a pizza.

it was my first day in New York and i was looking around feeling lost. i hadn't seen much of Oliver, he only picked me up from the airport and went to work so when i woke up i went to shop for some groceries and had breakfast in a nice bakery. than i made my way toward the apartment hoping Oliver was there, i wanted to ask him about the clubs and bars.

I opened the door and yawned expecting the pizza. "Hey you," I smiled at Jess as I let her inside.

"Hi!" i smiled and put the groceries on the kitchen island "the fridge is empty so i got a few things to make lunch"

I laughed "yeah I didn't know if you were coming back so I ordered pizza for breakfast," I grinned grabbing a bag and unpacking it. "So how's the job hunt going?"

"i only found one pub that isn't hiring so i wanted to ask you where i could look"

"How about after we put these away and eat I take you and show you a few spots that I know are hiring?" I suggested.

i nodded excitedly "yes! i'd love that!" i smiled and went behind the island "I'm gonna make some pasta, do you want some?"

"Sure, you know I love your cooking," I grinned wiggling my brows at her, I jumped up on the stool and watched her.

I cooked us some pasta and the pizza got here. I set the table for both of us and sat down waiting as he paid for the pizza

I brought it over and sat opposite her. "What a healthy choice we've made." I chuckled.

I laughed and put some in my plate than his "pasta is always my first choice" i smiled and started eating trying not to look at him much. I could see his muscles through his tight shirt and it did things to me. He was always hot in highschool but now he's a good different hot, " so, is there anything about you i should know?" I smiled "i don't know you anymore"

"Well you know I'm a cop, but I think you know everything else. I don't throw parties in the house though," I smiled looking up at her. She'd gotten heaps cuter since I last seen her. Not that she wasn't cute before, but her body was more womanly.

" oh lets put some ground rules, we pay the rent in half, the food and everything. We take turns in cleaning, you knock on my door before coming in and i do the same. Oh and if you're bringing a girl home let me know so i can accomodate"

I laughed "you're quite funny, but agreed those terms are good." I wasn't bringing any girls home though, I'm not that kind of man.

I smiled "that's good to hear" i took a bite of my food and looked at him curiously "so, why did you break up with chelsea? She was the love of your life"

I laughed and then groaned "she wasn't the love of my life, she decided she wanted to sleep with other men. I came home from a shift and found her in bed with Travis, so I packed a bag and got this place." I hated even thinking about that bitch.

I looked at him in chock, how could she cheat on someone like oliver!  I opened mu mouth to speak but shut it and looked at him than finally had the courage "she was quite the prude in highschool so its hard to believe. And Travis?! God he's nothing compared to you"

"Oh I know, I was so mad at her. I stopped talking to him as well," I shrugged it off not wanting to admit it almost broke my heart. I smiled "thanks you're sweet, so any guys I need to warn with you?"

I smiled "nope...i havn't dated in two years now and i'm free like the wind. It's better tgis way,i don't like my heart getting broken"

I was relieved she wasn't seeing anyone. "Good, you need a nice guy anyway. Not some jerk who plays you around." I smiled at her.

I nodded "i'm sorry it happened to you you deserve better"
