Emma used to be a star soccer player. Then, on the night before the championship, she crashed. Four friends plus her in a car. All were having fun, but then a drunk crashed into them, only her. One other survived, if that's what you'd call it. She was paralyzed from the waist down. Now she needs therapy and pick me up. Will thee new kid be any good?

I noticed she had left her bag placed on top of the table , which meant she would eventually come back to the classroom.

I sighed and just tried to catch my breath. I looked at the time every few minutes. I came back with 20 minutes left because it took me some time to calm down. Once I was at my seat I just put my head on my arms and stayed quiet.

"Are you ok?" I managed to ask , aware she would be likely to give me a rude answer, especially since we were not friends or anything.

I nodded. "I'm fine," I said.

"You just need to ignore these people" I whispered, hating the fact I was kind of giving her advice . Why was I doing it ? She had always been a pain in the as* to me in the past.

"They're voicing my own personal opinion of myself. Not to mention I got invited to 3 funerals today," I said but with no bite.

"it doesn't matter though. Let them enjoy their stupidity."

"I notice you haven´t told me any rude thing so far , today " I said , trying to hide my smirk . Not did I want to get on her bad side.

"There's nothing rude to say. I only said it to make conversation between us, but now I see why you prefer not to talk."

"Why do I prefer not to talk ?" I asked her , curious for the first time to get an answer from her.

"Because when people open their mouths a whole lot of stupid comes out. And the bitches always trying to get you."

"Huh, I had four friends okay? 3 of which are dead and the fourth is comatose." I said.

"Exactly " I nodded . She would have never talked to me as she was doing at the moment if she weren´t in that condition.
