The model's bodyguard

Milani Hastings, an 18 years old model that lives with her mom in NY will have to do her best to keep her life together.
Her mother, Veronica Hastings, a well known fashion designer has a lot of enemies, some of them being ruthless. The news about her cancer somehow got out to the press and now some people are after her money. She does her best to seem strong for her daughter and hide the truth behind many late calls she receives and other threats, keeping her daughter in the dark till one day Milani was followed by two strangers. She was out on a sunny day after her photoshoot when she noticed two men following her around and their pace seemed to fasten. she was smart enough to mingle in the crown and lose them. once she got home Milani reluctantly told everything to her mom who panicked but reassured her everything will be okay.
threatening her was one thing but involving her daughter was out of the line. it was a little after 3 am when Veronica called Francisco Medina...the best of the best bodyguard. she offered him 5 million dollars to work for her and he took the job without knowing who he would have to protect. but he wasn't dumb, he knew that no one would offer such a sum if it wasn't important. Francisco meet Mila and of course she hates him and don't want him near her but for her mother's sake she tries and bare him. He get his friend/ partner to work with him to make sure she doesn't get hurt.

I welcomed Molly with a warm hug "I missed you so much!!"

"I´ve missed you so much , too. You have no idea how horrible it is to be stuck in that house with my so called uncle"

"I've told you many times that you can move in with me but you're just so stubborn molly!"

"I know , but deep inside me there´s little hope that there will come a day when he´ll actually acknowledge me as his family " I confessed, feeling melancholic all of a sudden.

I sat in my booth eyeing the two friends carefully, while surveying my surroundings. You can never be too safe in places such as these. But I couldn't keep my eyes from Milani, although she was built like any other model, there was just so ethnic about her that drew him to her, like a flower to a bee. He took notice in small things, like how her eyes lit up when she seen her friend, and how her cheeks give a natural blush as she smile brightly. Then those lips, those tempting lips. I shook my head, snapping myself from my thoughts and focused back on the task of watching over her, not drooling over her. "get it together Fransisco, you're loosing it." itoldmyself.

i sighed "Let's hope he will" i took her to our table and gave her her breakfast "What do you want us to do after we eat?" i asked her smiling brightly happy to finally be able to go out with molly. but her mind kept drifting to the man she met this morning, why was he even at their house?

Milani looked around as she saw Molly distracted, she spotted the same guy from this morning but he was staring at them. she frowned and looked away quickly

Fransisco watched them and met her eyes though she looked away quickly. He signaled for a waiter and wrote down his number. He instructed the waiter to pass it over to Milani. After a skeptical look he explained he was her bodyguard and that she didn't want him to be too close to her. After showing him his ID the waiter nodded and made his way over to their table. As he did so he got up and headed out to his car to make a phone call to her mother. After confirming that she was alright at the house and he co firmed that all was well on his end, they held a brief casual conversation before he hung up. He then called the department and requested for a partner to watch over the mother as well. They gave him a list of guys they thought were good for the job, and he was pleased to see that Jeremiah was among them. Without much thought he instantly chose Jeremiah, and requested he get put on right away.

"Mhmm , I don´t know . What do you feel like doing ? " I replied , somehow distracted. I caught sight of a guy watching us , well especially staring at Mila and he was not even hiding it. "Do you know him ? He hasn´t stopped looking this way"

i watched him leave and shrugged "I saw him this morning in our house but... i don't know him" a waiter came handing me a number with the name fransisco on it "What the hell? " i frowned looking at Molly

I widened my eyes at her . "I think the guy is kind of interested in you , you know . Or... what if your mother hired him for something ?"

i looked at her raising an eyebrow "Why would she hire him? and she said nothing"

"I don´t know . Maybe she doesn´t want you to notice it or maybe she doesn´t want to worry you " I shrugged, trying to find a logical explanation.

"Well i'm gonna find out, wanna come?"

"Yeah !!" My eyes brightened at the sound of that . There was nothing more fun than getting involved in a kind of adventure like that .

i smiled and took my stuff "lets follow him, he went outside lets hope he's still out there"

They told me they could have him out on the field today and I agreed. I gave them my location to give to him and instructed him to meet me here as soon as he could. Just as I hung up the phone I received a call from my mother. Like any child a bright smile spread across my face as I answered. She was calling to make sure our plans for the weekend were still on. "I can never break a promise mother." I told her. "I'll see you bright amd early Saturday. But I have to go I'm working right now." I told her as I spotted Milani and her friend standing to leave.

"Isn´t that him ?" I squinted my eyes as I pointed toward a guy that looked almost like him, though I wasn´t sure it was him , since I wasn´t wearing my glasses or contacts.

i looked at the guy and nodded "Yep he's hot!" i giggled and walked toward him

"See ? That would be a perk of having him close. He´s utterly hot" I smiled widely.

I smiled politely at them when they got close. "good afternoon ladies." I greeted.

"UMM HI... why did the waiter give me your number exactly?"

"Because I told him to." I answered boldly. "Is there a problem?"

I bit my tongue , raising an eyebrow at Mila . This guy really had guts , not to say he was utterly cocky. I was dying to make a comment , but I knew Mila would handle the situation so much better than me.

I raised both eyebrows in surprise "well here is your damn number and stop following me around!" i took Molly's hand and walked away trying not to giggle
