Rayla was at one time in love with Nick. They both were a really good couple, really close. Then it was like someone took that image and ripped it. He became mean and distant and a little controlling. Rayla isn't sure if he noticed this, but she wonders if this may be why he left her. For a long time she was heartbroken, but 5 years later she meets Jack. Now Nick is back and she has decide who she loves.

I hate to say it, but you affected me. My heart isn't as open as it was. I want to give all away to someone still, but I can't with him. I don't want him to pick up on it, and I don't want him to think I'm using him. I may be but I like to say I'm not. I said. He makes me happy sometimes, and I feel like myself again.

Oh. I really didn't mean for you to stop loving the way you do. I said. I came to a stop and just plopped down in the grass and laid my head on my paws. You know that was one of the things i really liked about you. You weren't afraid to love

I looked at him. Well, I don't know what to say about that. I sat down.

It's fine if you don't have anything to say. I told her.

I had a number of reasons for loving you. You made me laugh a lot, you didn't tell me what was wrong with me. I said.

Because I never found anything wrong with you. What you thought were your flaws was what drew me to you. I know none of this matter anymore but I just had to tell her. I feel that I never really told her because I was scared to. Fear that that untouched place in my heart would somehow be revealed. But ire ally wasn't sure why I was saying it now.

I nodded lightly. But it was because others said that there was. Just like with Jack I was this little doll that everyone wrote a label on all shattered and broken when you came along. Then everything got better for me. But the difference now is it's taking longer.

Besides not opening up as much why do you think it's taking longer? I asked curiously.

Because I'm afraid to fall, and maybe I'm not in love with him enough. Or maybe I'm still in love with you.

Oh okay. Hey lets go hunt I'm kind of hungry. Well my wolf is hungry. I said standing.

This shoulder be interesting. I said. I wasn't really big, so my kills weren't much larger than me.

Whats your choice of meal? I asked.

Then lets fight. I said playfully as I bumped her.

I gave him a smile. That's unfair, I haven't fought a werewolf.

I haven't fought a cougar. Now we're even. I promise to go easy on you. I teased.

Alright. I said and got ready.

I'll be sure to go easy on you. You know just so I won't hurt you too bad. I laughed.

Well I was going to go easy on you too. I said. Ready?

Sure you were. Let's do this. I said as I began circling her.

I watched him. When he lunged I jumped. I knew wolves all too well, this was easy. Fight him like I do wolves. Though sometimes I just climbed in trees.

(I was thinking Jack coming in and thinking she was going to be killed by him)

Although I was going easy on her, I could tell she was a good fighter. I continued to try and take her down but she was too quick. you got skills, cat. I teased.

R: I hissed playfully as a response.

J: I was walking, looking for Rayla. I knew she went out to stretch. I heard a bark and a yowl. It made me curious because no cougars were here, and wolves were a rare sighting. I knew that yowl belonged to her, knowing the earlier fact. I walked up as she dodged another charge from the wolf. I freaked out not seeing her ease. How she wasn't frightened. I quickly stopped his next attack by jumping in between them and throwing him back. I looked at Rayla with worry etching on my face.

you're going down, kitty. No more playtime for you. I taunted and went to make my next move but was blocked by someone. I fell back with a thud, being caug off guard was not something I took lightly. I quickly recovered and tackled the human just as he stared at Rayla. I was getting ready to tear into his neck when Rayla stopped me.

R: I pushed him off Jack. Sorry, but that's him. He must be looking for me, and he probably thinks this is me protecting myself. Don't hurt him. I looked at Jack with a scolding look.

J: I sighed. I was going to be in trouble.
