The Girl Next Door *1x1 open*

She is mysterious, and strange to most people. Dark clothes, dark make-up. She loves dark stuff. Then suddenly her mother dies, and her baby sister. Leaving her and her father. Her dad checks out on the murder, but she still is shifty. She was out doing a few illegal things that night, so she can't tell. The cops decide to assign a watch on her. He wasn't too old, fresh out of the academy and only 21. He gets a cover up as a teacher at her school, a history teacher. He's good at it too, and another shock, so is she. But he doesn't find out until he sits down with her. He's kinda of annoying to her, but also annoyingly cute. Maybe there's a romance dwelling beneath them.

I yawned as I sat on my couch and my dad was about to introduce us. I didn't know there was a man in the kitchen, yet. But I soon would have a problem. My father slowly eased into my new 'friend'. He was to go with me everywhere but to the bathroom, for obvious reasons. He told him to come in and I looked up.

(lol yes, I agree Charlie was much better!)

I walked in and seen a girl sitting on the couch. I was new off the academy and they stuck me here. Great, she looks like a hormonal teen with a lot of issues. "Hi, I'm constable Porter, but you can call me Josh."

(oh thank you, I was afraid you'd prefer him just because you're a fan. His new show Anger Management isn't that good.)

I looked at him and sighed. "So what you gunna hold my hand while I hang out with my friends?" I asked all snappy. "Alice, that's enough." My dad said. I just laughed. "Right, whatever so tell me how all this is going to work. You want to know if I will do what I did the night of the murder again right?"

(I know, it's not as funny. 2 and a half men has gone downhill, now with the son hardly on there.)

"Well Alice, it'd make my job a lot easier if you just told us what you done, but have it your way, I will be your shadow, following you everywhere and yes, when you are with your friends i will be there watching everything." I spoke with a authority to let her know i was kidding around.

(Yeah, I heard they were bringing in Charlie's kids he's never known of. Which is their way of reviving a dead series)

I sighed. "Whatever, as long as I can get some time by myself. If you have to hang out in my room I swear I will runaway." I said. I had been high that night with friends on illegal drugs, so who would want to tell that?

I smirked, "Well looks like I'll be doing some running then, either that or I will have the surveillance team set up camera all through your room, hidden so we can still watch." I didn't tell her that, that had already been done. i wanted her to trust me that i was going to watch over her.

"So now I have to change in my bathroom. Wonderful! Thanks a lot, now I feel welcome in my home," I said and laid back.

I sighed and took a seat, "I will not be in your room while you are changing at all. I have no interest in watching you dress in your goth gear, I do however have a job to do, it'd be nice if you could make it easier for me."

"Well sorry I can't help you. You guys should take a hint, I was no where near home, but where I was is of no importance to you. You're just really noisy people, ya know that?" I said. "And why was I immediately the target? So I am related and I wear black, doesn't mean I did it. That's why this stupid town thinks I did it, because I choose to be myself." I got up and walked off.

I looked at her dad and sighed, "She needs to let us know where she was, she's looking at a double murder otherwise." I walked off towards her room and knocked, pushing the door open. "I'm sorry, that was uncalled for" I sat on the chair in her room and looked around.

I looked at him. "The entire town's opinion is. One thing that's completely obvious is I am just a kid obsessed with black, and sometimes I am into trouble but not police business trouble. I don't really get the association," I said.

"It's police business because you wont give an alibi, hanging with friends and not telling us who they are or anything else doesn't look good." I lent back and wondered what she'd look like with all the black makeup off her.

I sighed. "See? This is why I normally don't like the police. They have to know every private thing. Of course it wasn't anything like some girls are doing these days. Not much comes out of it, except a baby and no daddy. Sometimes," I said. I laid back on my bed.

"So you were out having sex?" I asked confused.

"I just said I wasn't. That's gross, I'd be drunk before that happens. And no I wasn't drinking, I do sneak a few drinks from downstairs, but not often enough to get addicted." I said. If only I had known they were illegal drugs, I would've done something else. Like get murdered.

I laughed at the way she defended herself about the sex, "You don't want to have sex when your off your head, that may result in a unwanted pregnancy, so what were you drinking?"

"When I'm home? I drink whatever my mom does, we can't take anything strong. But I was actually a designated driver for my friend that night. She wanted to get drunk beyond drunk. I wasn't supposed to have anything but someone slipped me some," I said.

"You were drugged?" I asked concerned.

"Only a little, but that happens when you get out with my crowd and the likes. I stole my friend's keys and walked home, so no one could drive under the influence. I only took care of her though, she was the only face I knew," I said.

"And what happened when you came home?" I asked, I didnt expect her to be this open with me.
