I looked over to be met with a glare from his friend and looked away, “I think you should give me a tour of the town after lunch, show me where you went to school and all that.”

"I think that's a great idea. And I also wanted to know if it would be okay with you to throw a party at the packhouse for you, you can meet the whole pack that way. We can do that after coming back from New York, how about that?"

“Ok that sounds good.” I grinned lifting my burger but paused “do you want to go and speak to her? You can if you want to.”

I looked at Elara and shook my head "no I don't." I knew she could hear me "if she has no respect for her Luna, than I shouldn't give her much attention. We were best friends, nothing more and I've never given her the impression of anything more. She knew she wasn't my mate when we both turned 18, so it's not my fault she had false hopes."

“That’s fair enough, I guess you’re right and it’s a shame things have gone to is way between you both.” I reached over and rubbed his hand “what do you think of the shake and fries? It’s good right?”

"Yeah it is a shame." I looked at the fries and then back at Candice "hey Candice, I have a new usual now" I pointed to the milkshake and she laughed shaking her head. "I'll tell you her story once we're out of here" I whispered to Mia.

“I feel like I can’t move.” I laughed dropping my napkin on the empty plate and pushing my stomach out to motion I was completely full. “Look out later, I’ll be pretending to sleep” I teased with a grin as we stood, I walked close to him, moving my arm around his back as I slid my hand into the back of his jeans pocket as we past Ellara.

"Very funny baby, I know you'd never do that, you're as eager as I am" I laughed as we walked out of the diner and headed to my car.

I laughed, shaking my head “although it was nice going and having lunch with you” I slid closer and pressed my forehead to his “and I’ll totally tell your brother about the fries dipping.”
