Decades later, Ryder is running his pack as the Alpha, and doesn't do much other than work. No time for women, or a social life. Arrogant and ruthless, he doesn't care to enjoy anything except his pack, and making sure everything is running smoothly. He doesnt care about material items, and loves a simple life of meat and veg for dinner.

Bright lights and caramel lattes in the city keep Mia happy. Her life is all working as an editor in a big time publishing house. Her life is busy, with never a time to sit and have a moments silence that she longs for. A hard week of work, and she's at her breaking point. Not saying a word to anybody as she packs up a suitcase, grabs her keys and drives off to a place unknown, letting fate decide where she should end up, or who she's about to meet.

Two people destined to be together, finally meet again.

“I can work still right? I mean I can do it online or do I need to completely give it up?” I asked wondering if he meant now that I was his Luna there was no working.

"Of course you can work, I'd never ask that of you. But i meant that we don't have many choices here"

“I sorted figured that, I mean unless I want to work in the diner then there isn’t much else to do. I have money saved, I can work through corespondent with my job. Sometimes I might have to go to New York for a meeting but that’ll only be a day or two away.”

"I think we can adapt" i smiled and turned the ligjts on "here's where I lived for a few years"

“Wow, I was pictured some run down little shed..” is looked around walking in further. “This is not what I expected at all, I’d be happy to stay here and hide out.” I grinned.

"Yeah it was pretty good. I think your dad helped build it... Ihad great memories here. Maybe we can make new ones?"

“I think we will have wonderful memories together.” I walked around some more and stared outside at the large lake “do wolves get married? Or is that what the mate bond does for wolves?”

"We have the mate bond but we also get married" i pulled her to me and smiled "you are prrfect you know that?"

“Oh really?” I raised a brow with a smile. “And how did you come to thah conclusion?” I asked, resting my cheek to his chest and closing my eyes, enjoying the warm feeling of love he gave me. “You’re the perfect one.” I whispered back.

I chuckled, "I'm perfect with you. You complete me Mia, and I'm just so happy I found you and you came back to me"

I smiled, sighing “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.” I looked up and beamed brightly “I just can’t wait to tell our kids the story of how we met” I giggled

I laughed "I need to confess, I was a little worried at first. Knowing you were human, I was scared you would run for the hills. And I'm sure we'll have many kids and you can tell them over and over how madly in love I fell with you the second I saw you."

“Yes well I think if it were anyone else I would have ran..” I looked behind him and then back into his gaze “but you made me feel safe instantly, and I was drawn to being here with you.”

"Do you want to spend the night here or should we go back to the house? Also, I wanted to ask about the welcome party. Do you want to make the preparations with my mom or would you like us to just surprise you with everything?"

“Oh I don’t know.” I thought about it “maybe we could go see my family, and then let them know about us and then I could help your mum with preparing everything?”

"Yeah I guess we could do that. Let's hit the road then, see your parents, talk to them and bring them back with us for your party" I traced the mark on her neck and smiled "you're all mine Mia."

I shivered against his fingertip and let out a soft groan “always yours.” I had to push myself away from him otherwise I’d never get anything done. “Come on, let’s get ready for my parents to forbid this relationship.” I grinned

"Why would they forbid it? You're my mate. Your dad is a werewolf, they've lived here a few years, they know they can't stop us from being together"

“Because I’m human, they don’t want that life for me.” I shrugged. “I think they wanted me to marry someone human and stay in the city, everytime I brought up coming here they would talk me out of it.” I blinked back the tears thinking us a life without him. “So I’m worried about their reaction to us.”

"I'll never let them keep us apart. Never!" I pulled her to me wrapping my arms around her tightly "have you met my mom? If I can't do anything about it Willow Black will" I said to lift her mood a little.

I had to laugh at that “yes she’s very determined so I have no doubt they will persuade them.” I cupped his face, and smiled “we should pack, I’ll get my things and meet you by the car?”

I nodded and kissed her softly "I always want to hear you laugh" with another kiss I went to the car and made sure everything was good. I called river and told him he was in charge for the coning week.

“I’m nervous for you to see where I live.” It didn’t hit me until we were almost at the city and I squeezed his thigh “I may need to pack some extra clothes, I don’t have much at yours.”

"Don't be nervous" i gave her a reassuring smile "baby you'll need to pack everything. I'm not letting you out of my sight"

“But what about my place here.. do we keep it?” I asked, “maybe we keep it for holidays or visiting my parents? But then what’s the point.. it could get broken into.” I rambled to myself sighing
