Oh, Baby! Baby!

She’s longed for a baby, afraid she would never get that chance, she took matters into her own hands and went through a donor clinic. She chose not to find out anything about the donor.

He donated on a whim years ago, strapped for cash before making something of himself. Now, he wonders if he ever had a child out there who looked like him, or if it was just balboas he shot. He’s never told this to anybody.

Four months pregnant, she wishes she could have someone to share this with, but knows it would be impossible. When people ask about the father, she lies and says he left her when he found out. And then she meets him, and he’s everything she ever wants in a man, but will he run after finding out she’s pregnant?

When he finds out she had a baby to a donor, he can’t help but wonder...

Nausea finally left long enough for me to be able to enjoy a walk along the beach, then I grabbed some lunch and took Luca to the park to sit and read a book beneath the chair, and as I went to sit, she up ran over to someone jumping up to him. I was horrified, “oh my god I’m so sorry! She never jumps, she’s too lazy to even jump on the couch at home.” I said picking her leash up and holding once again.

I laughed and bent down to pet the dog. I always wanted a dog but never got one. I looked up at the lady who was pregnant. Damn she was beautiful to. Lucky bastard. “It’s no problem, she is a beautiful dog.” I said as she jumped up and knocked me on my ass. Laughing I looked up and smiled at the lady. “She never jumps huh?”

“Never,” I was just relieved he didn’t threaten to call the pound on me. “She must either like you, or you could have food that she wants” I laughed, and stared down, it was then I was able to really see him. Wow. He was handsome, extremely good looking and his smile hit me in the chest.

I got up and dusted myself off. “Whelp I don’t have any food on me, so I think she likes me. Although I am on my way to get lunch” I winked and looked at her belly again. Damn lucky bastard. “You hungry?” What the fuck why did I ask that she is pregnant with another mans baby.

“Starving.” I was always hungry lately. “Anything with food and I’m there!” I smiled, “I’m Hazel by thevway, just so this isn’t any kinds of awkward”

I smiled.  “Trevor!” I stuck my hand out for her and she placed her little one in mine.  “Your boufriend or husband won’t get mad?” I had to ask.

“Huh?” I was confused, but then realised he noticed my stomach and I shook my head taking his hand “oh no, just me. Don’t have to worry about any crazy men in my life luckily.” I smiled, “just Luca and myself, well until this one comes along.” I placed a hand against my stomach. “There isn’t anyone else involved.”

I looked at her. “That’s a shame hazel.” I couldn’t believe someone would walk away. I sighed. “Okay so burgers okay for you?” God I was jumping the gun on this and I didn’t even know why. I just felt drawn to her.

“Burgers are good” I grinned. Why wasn’t he running away? I didn’t ever expect someone to ask me out for lunch. Ugh! Relax, it was just a burger. “Maybe we should grab it and sit somewhere outside, the park or something?” I suggested glancing at Luca

I laughed and took the leash from her. And nodded.  “We can do that.” We walked and I ordered our food then we went back to the park.  As we sat down I laughed.  “Is this how you normally pick up guys hazel?”

I was caught off guard by his question, blushing “oh what? Definitely not. I haven’t had a date in years. That’s why I took matters into my own hands. I want children, and I don’t want to be forty, single and regretting that I never got the chance to be a mother.” I looked at him “is that stupid?”

I smiled. “Not at all.” We ate lunch and made small talk before it was time for me to go back to work. I smiled at her. “So hazel, would it be okay to get your number an dmaybe have a proper date?” I asked because I wanted to see her again.

“Really?” I asked surprised. “You want to take me out? Even though I’m pregnant?” Who was he? He was nothing like I expected, or ever met before. “I’d like that, I really would.” I took his phone, and typed in my number.

I smiled and we said goodbye as I sat at my office I kept thinking what she said about not waiting and taking matters into her own hands. I wonder if she had a friend donate or something, or maybe she purposefully went out and had one night stands. Or maybe she went to a sperm bank. I wondered could she have went to the same one that I donated to long ago. I couldn’t help but think. Shaking my head I pulled my phone out and smiled hazel what a beautiful name. I sighed I needed to get shit done

Going home, I spent majority of the day thinking about him. He was on my mind constantly, I couldn’t believe I met someone. But damn it, I was pregnant! Maybe this would be awkward for him eventually. Or he would change his mind. I didn’t have his number, which sucked. I couldn’t message him. “Oh Luca, you liked him too didn’t you.” She really did.

After a couple of days I sat down and opened my phone finding hazels number. -dinner tonight at 6:30 I’ll send a driver to pick you up!- I sent it and then shocked my head. -shit sorry I don’t do this a lot this is Trevor we met at the park and had lunch!-

I had just come off shift work, falling into bed when my phone vibrated. I yawned, reading a message and was confused until the second one came through. I smiled - sounds perfect! See you then - I sent back, setting my alarm to 5pm and falling asleep with much excitement.

I got ready sent the car and went to the restaurant and waited. She would be here soon and I was so excited to see her and y’all woth her again. Normally I would have never talked to anyone walking in the park but I swear we were drawn to each other.

I was dressed, and waiting out front of my house when ancar pulled up. Jesus, was he rich or something? I was driven to a restaurant that I could never afford. Walking in, I smiled as I spotted him looking even more amazing than I remembered. “Hi, how are you?” I smiled more leaning in for a hug and kiss on the cheek

I smiled and helped her sit down. “Better now, how have you been?” I asked and took a drink of water. She looked amazing. “You look good, beautiful really!”

“Well, I feel slightly underdressed.” I laughed, looking at the others dressed up. “Sorry, I worked a double last night and it took it out of me. I came home and crashed.” I smiled at him “but you, wow! I’m feeling very lucky to be having dinner with you.”
