“You look well, what are you here for?” My dad asked, glancing at my mum.

I bit my lip, taking in a deep breath. “Umm, the trust money that was put aside for me, I’d like to have full access to it.”

My parents looked tense as mum went to speak and my dad stumbled over his words. “Well.. this is short notice-“ he rubbed his palms “I have to sort some things out and-“

“What? No, it’s in an account. All you have to do is call the bank and say I have full access.” I knew this because I had called and asked myself. “It’s in a trust for me.”

“You see-“ mum started “dear.. we’ve spent it all. We used that money for living and expenses. There’s not much left.”

I was speechless. “What?” I felt like I had been slapped. “How much is left?”

“Nothing. It’s all gone. We hoped you’d forgotten about it.” Dad said sighing. “You didn’t earn it, You was gifted it to you.”

“To me! Not you. You didn’t earn it either! You have no right to do that.” I just couldn’t believe it

I shook my head looking at these people. “You people are suppose to support her not give her more problem! You lucky I have money and that I will help her reach the woman she is meant to be!” I shook my head. “And if she is pregnant then you better change or our child won’t be knowing you!” I was pissed I pulle slipys Hans in mine. “Babe let’s go you need to calm down and relax and I know how you can do that.” I was taking her to the beach to sit and relax.

“Pregnant?” Her mum gasped. “She can’t fall pregnant. We had that taken care of when she was in hospital.”

I stopped walking and looked at her “what are you talking about?” I had no clue and then it hit me. “Those injections tou have me get, they’re not for the flu are they.”

“It’s for your own good. You couldn’t handle a child. You both can’t.” She said. “You’re unwell Lily, please come home and let us help you.”

I looked at her mum. “What injections?” I was so pissed. “And who are you to tell me I can’t handle a child?” I didn’t know what to think or do this was crazy. “Lily is fine she is capable of anything why can’t you see that? Or is it because she had the fund you keep her thinking she is unwell and you profit of that?”

“Every six months I get injections.” I said dumbfounded “it’s birth control, not for anything else.” How the hell could she allow this, and to keep lying to me. “I suppose the medication I was on is the reason I slept all the time and stayed in bed.”

“We were just trying to help you” my dad said “we thought it was best. You were afraid of everything. We just wanted to keep you safe.”

“So you drugged me daily!” I snapped angrily. “No wonder I’m a mess!”

I couldn’t believe this. “When was your last injection?” I really wanted it to be a while ago. “What the fuck was the point of giving her birth control if you kept her drugged?” I just didn’t get it.

“It was the day before I ran into you.” So I wasn’t going to be pregnant or end up pregnant for some time. I was furious. “I want to leave. Now.”

I sighed. “Okay babe lets go!” I was pissed and once in the car I looked at her. “Beach and some ice cream?” I needed to cheer her up.

“Maybe, I don’t know. Whatever you want to do.” I stared out the window holding back the tears. There goes my chance at contribution to our house. “I need to find work.”

I smiled and pulled her hand in mine. “Baby you can work at the shop till you find something if you want.” I kisse dher Hans. “Don’t worry we will work things out.” I was upset she probably wasn’t pregnant. “And we can work I’m getting you pregnant as soon as we get married too, I’m thinking a little wedding with a few people or just us at justice of the peace? Whatever you want!”

“Peace of justice is perfect to me.” There was no way my parents would accept us, and I just didn’t want anything big and lavish. “I need to go to see the doctor this week.” I had to find out what the hell I was on

I nodded. “That’s a good idea you just tell me when and if you want me there if not I will find a way to get you there babe.”

“It’s ok. I think I’ll probablt just go alone, and the. I’ll tell you how I went.” I sighed still staring out the window. I glanced over at him, and reached for his hand “I’m really disappointed I’m not going to be pregnant.”

I sighed. “I know babe me to but hey we never know it could still happen. Or you could be! Those shots aren’t 100% right?” I had no clue but damn if I wasn’t a little disappointed too.

“I don’t know. I think they might be.” I had no clue, I’ve never had to worry about this. “What a mess. I can’t belive they have spent all that money.”

I tried to give her a small smile. “Well we will make a appointment and you can go talk and see what a doctor says, my sister in law goes to a good one you can call her and ask her for the number.” I kissed her hand and wanted to punch something but I needed to be there for her.
