I’m getting married! But not to him. My best friend who I have loved since I was 5, yeah I know some don’t believe that but it’s true. I remember falling off my bike and my brother laughing at me, but our new neighbor came to my rescue. He was so cute back then. I knew we would be close friends from then on. Even my twin brother liked him. But now back to I’m getting married! Yes I went away for college not to were my brother and best friend went, but is where I found my future husband we I’ll be getting married to in 6 months!

I got the invite that tore my heart into pieces. She was getting married but she wasn’t marrying me like I always hoped she would. I remember the almost kiss. I was so nervous but I wanted to kiss her so bad but her brother freaking ruined that chance. Then she was gone off to a different state to start college on her own. Now she is back and getting married.

I put my hand on my belly. “I hope your right I don’t think I can handle anymore people looking at me as I’m a disgrace.” I laid my head back. “Umm if I’m having a scan we should be able to tell When the baby was conceived”

I nodded, tensing slightly. “Yes they should be able to. Just focus on making sure the baby is ok first.”

I nodded. I loved that he was concerned about the baby’s well being even if there was a chance it’s not his. Once we got there they took me straight to a room where I have to take everything off and put those ugly gowns on the nurses all looked at me weird because of the bruises but I ignored them the dictator got some blood work and then came back with a scan and I looked at Jake scared to death my mum and brother were still in the waiting room. When the docket started the scan he smiled oh look at that! I would say your a good month and a half which puts your conceives date about 2 months or so ago!” I looked at the doctor and then Jake hoping he knew that this was in deed his child. I was so happy.

I just stared at the screen. Holy fuck. I’m going to be a dad. I felt faint for a moment but didn’t want that to show. I was terrified. “So the baby.. the baby is ok?” That’s all I had to focus on

The doctor smiled “well, yes the babies are good. All of them look really good see here is who we will call baby a, here baby B and this one baby C!” He smiled over at us. “Do multiples run in anyone’s family?”

I nodded. “I’m a twin.” I said and looked at Jake. “Holy shit!”

"I'm sorry?" A B C? I stood up feeling light headed. "What.. no.. three?" fuck. "I.." all I could picture was the cost of each kids. I'd be working till I was dead. "Three?"

I watched him pace. Shit he didn’t want three. Well I couldn’t do anything about that. “I’ll leave you two to Umm adjust to the info.” He walked out and I sat up a little. “Are you okay?”

"Three kids.. that's a lot to take in. don't get me wrong I'm happy, but I'm also picturing the next fifty years of my life working to support us all." I sat down beside her running a hand through my hair "how are you so calm about this?"

I looked at him. “Cause they are ours, I mean I can get a job too you know I do have my nursing license!” I said not thinking. “We can also start raising cattle and selling them?” I knew we would be okay. “I mean we will make it work.” I was freaked a little but they are his!

"Yeah I know, I'm processing it" It was a lot to take in. all of this within two days, my mind was overloaded. "are you hungry? we should go get something to eat."

I laughed. “We have to wait here till the blood results come back but I am hungry. Maybe you and my brother can get something and bring it back while I talk to my mum?”

I nodded. "umm, yeah I'll go see what I can find" I stood up kissing her forehead as I walked out and went to find her brother. I sent her mum in and we went to the cafeteria.

"how are you feeling sweetheart?" her mum asked as she sat down.

I sat up more. “I’m scared, scared about the babies and scared about Kevin finding me and hurting me.” I looked down at my hands. “Scared of loosing you, and Tom knowing. I already disappoint led you both and to top it off I could loose Jake and destroy his friendship with Tom.” I said quietly. “How are you?”

she laughed softly "I'm good. but you need to talk to me more, jake told me you didn't want to tell me that you were back home and that upsets me." she sighed. "I just want to help sweetheart. I hope you can understand that. everything will work out fine."

I sighed. “I just didn’t want to hurt you, I mean mum Kevin was selling me to other people for sex! He was so mean when I went back to him after Jake and I. I was going to tell Kevin everything I was going to tell him I was done but he threatened everyone I love.”

“Yes well Kevin will be dealt with accordingly. So, how did the ultrasound go?” She asked clueless to why Jake looked so dazed. “That boy looked like he saw a ghost walking out of here.”

I laughed “Well he is really concerned with what the doctor told us and what the ultrasound told us. Nothings wrong it’s just more than we expected exactly two more than we expected.” I pulled the petit out and should her. “We are having three at one time mum, I don’t know how I’m going to do this.”

“Oh dear.” She laughed shocked “well I’m sure you’ll figure this out. Just try not to worry, but it will be hard at times.”’she smiled at the ultrasound

“Are you upset that Jake and I aren’t married?” I know my mum loves Jake and always consider him family but now he would be well in the sense of him being the father of her grand babies.

“No because I know Jake is a good man.” She said. “He’s shown that by taking you in after everything you have been though.” She said with a sad smile. “Are you wanting him to propose?”

I looked at her. “Not sure if you know this but I’ve always loved him but I don’t want him to feel like he has to, so honestly no at least not right now maybe in the future.” I looked at her. “You know about Tom right?”

“Oh please I know about your brother since he was a child. I just wish he would tell me himself.” I sighed. “And don’t worry, Jake will when he’s ready. Children scare a man to death at the best of times, I can only imagine how he’s feeling with 3.”

I laughed “yeah plus who knows once I’m fat and ugly he may want to run for the hills.” I looked over when the door opened and smiled. “I told my mum sorry.” I said to him and looked at Tom quickly before avoiding him.

“I couldn’t find much, but got you some Cheeto’s and a milkshake.” I smiled handing her over the food. I looked at her mum and sat in the chair opposite “so when can you leave?”

I smiled. “Thank you, and I don’t know they haven’t been in yet.” I wonder why he wanted to leave so bad. We all sat there in silence for a little while. Till the nurse came in “How you doing mum and dad! I heard the news it can be overwhelming to hear you have not only one baby but three! I had twins and Didn’t have any help so you two will be fine with all this support you have here!” I looked at Jake. “Lab results all came back and you need to eat more the dr is giving you some medicine to calm that nasty morning sickness and everything else looked good! So you get to go home!”
